type r head question
hi, a friend is selling me a head. he said is from a 1999 civic type R, but how
do i know if the head is a real type R ,and all the internal parts.
i mean valves springs, camshaft, every thing.
please help

If he was your friend, why not trust him? Look for dual valvesprings on both intake and exhaust side. Look to see if the paint on the springs are blue and yellow. For the cams, look for the engraved and protruding rings on the distributer side of them. The head should be stamped with a P73 (I think) somewhere.
