Type R head
Ok guys, city-speed offers brand new ITR heads on ebay for like 600 shipped, of course, with no valves, springs, reatiners, cams, etc, just the bare head. If I were to buy this and gradually buy the nicest pieces to go on it, like oversized valves, some good retainers, get it ported, and like some toda b spec cams, is the amount of HP gained good fro what it will cost? Obviously I will have to get an ITR intake mani, etc.
I just don't want to spend all this money for a trivial 20 or 25 whp, cause i figure this would be a 2 grand project ATLEAST in the long run.
Just want some feelings, as I am sure i could spend that money on an ITR tranny, fly wheel, and some cams and be just as well off. Thanks guys

I think you'd be better off going with the JDM ITR tranny as far as bang for the buck is concerned. A very well built head can easily cost you well over 2 grand, hell, just the components will end up costing over 2 grand, then you have to factor in the price of getting it ported, plus added machine work to enlarge the valve reliefs for the oversize valves. I think 4 grand is a much more realistic price.
