Re: turboing my b18b1

Re: turboing my b18b1
well u can use the stock pump and be ok but since a walbro 255 is only a hundred bucks and it goes right in place of the oem one i would totally do it. the last thing u want is your car to lean out because of your pump at full boost. dont use a shitty fpr either just do the pump and your good

u sure can, honestly i will never drive a NA car again i will turbo everything i own from now on and b18b u can get the same numbers, another route u might wanna take is throwin a b16 or b18 gsr head on and makin a ls/vtec

Re: turboing my b18b1
That seems reasonable. can you continue on the ls vtec? im not sure if it has it or not already but it stops revving at 7k rpm like a regular but it does sound different when 4k rpm happends

Re: turboing my b18b1
everything to do with vtec is in the head so if u cahnge your head to a vtec head u can have vtec, u will also need an ecu that is vtec equipped like a p72 but ya its that easy 2 wires from the vtec solenoid to the ecu and boom done u have a ls/vtec motor

Re: turboing my b18b1
alright ill take a picture of the engine. but if it was ls vtek wouldnt it rev to 8k like a gsr?
or say vtec on the valve cover since it wouldnt fit on a b18b1?

Re: turboing my b18b1
some people shave their valve covers, and some use different ones, ive seen a few dudes trying to sneak ls/vtec as a normal ls motor, but the solenoid gives it away lol

Re: turboing my b18b1
vtec doesnt change the rev limit it hydraulically liftss the cam to make a longer duration for the valves to be open, its like having 2 cams in one u get a sedate cam for normal driving under 5000 and an aggressive cam for aggressive driving 5000 and up.
