Default Turbo timer question

SO yesterday I had a integra come into the shop that was turboed and with a problem I have never seen before...
I want to ask your guys opinon and to see if this was a problem with the unit it's self or if it is a coomon thing that I just never heard of before...

Basically it is a custom built set up but when it comes down to the turbo timer wireing set up it is a Apexi Turbo / N/A timer Silver version, with the Factory Apexi harness with the white wires and brown plugs.
The grey wire is connected to the e-brake, black to ground but the white wire for the A/F (O2) signal is not hooked up in any way...
The timer is still getting a AF/ O2 signal and the problem it's doing is that when you first start the car the timer starts counting down and then when you actually go to turn off the car the timer just dosen't work.
Where this thing is getting it's A/F signal from is a mystery??!!

I wish I took pictures to better explain.

Here is a picture of the car I'm talking about:

This is what the unit looked like:

Example of the harness that I'm talking about:

So any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Switched 12VDC+ is probably not wired properly.
