Default Turbo Timer Help

I just bought a turbo timer (greddy gtt3) and a harness that fits with it. I hooked up everthing except the parking break/speed sensor but the timer dosent turn on. Is it nessarry for me to hook the parking/speed sensor for it to turn on. I don't know if it broken or what, so im trying to try everything before i take it back. Thanks

ok, the problem is def with the harness and the ground. I have tried it 2 different ways. Way 1.- hook up turbo timer with your harness and regular ground. Dosent work (i get power, but it give me the wierd "er.5" reading. Way2.-Hook up timer with out your harness using the same ground no problems. This leaves me to believe that there is something wrong with the harness. On a side note with the harness and the turbo timer hooked up, I seem to be getting a bad ground where ever i try to ground out too. When i hook up to a ground it turns the timer on NORMALLY for an instant, then it goes off. I have tried every ground on the driver side and with the harness installed none of them work. I then do it manually with outthe harness and and every ground works. There is something wrong with the harness. Ive also tried connecting a ground to the battery's ground and it still dosent work.
