do you have engine management? or even a fuel regulator?
the guy you bought it from may have done the turbo setutp all wrong, and thats why everything is all messed up.
Without the fuel regulator or engine management more air will be forced into your engine without the proper fuel, and thatmakes sense with what you said.

usually on a "built" motor no one is going to be running 2 psi. try a new guage. if you are boosting over 10 psi and you dont know it then your map sensor will make the car"stutter". stock map sensors can only read like 10.7 psi of boost. if that doesnt help then go to the fuel. youneed to instaall an egt guage to monitor the fuel. i personally dont like the afr guage, as it wont tell you how close to melting your motor down you are. seriously take the car to a reputable tuner and have them look at you setup and tune the car before you rag the crap out of it. the ls motor is very boost friendly, as long as it is set up and tuned properly.
