im in the process of figuring out what to get for my 94teg RS rebuild. If i were to get 9.0:1 CR pistons 81.5mm bore what size sleeves would i need?

 

just take your stock sleeves and get them bored .020 and honed, its like 180 to do i think at a good machine shop

 

be carefull to machine shop that you bring it into

ask them if they make themselves responsible if after rebuild
you get piston slap...

im not kidding...

piston slap= when one of the sleeves is not bored straight and the piston
bangs against the sleeve while it travels its path.

 

well im also planning on putting a turbo on so would i need new sleeves to run like 14psi or would stock ones be fine with bore and hone?

 

14 pounds youll b OK dont be tempted to go higher
but just to be safe add some support to the sleeves in the outside..

if your going to resleeve it might as will bore that mug to at least 84mm
