Default Trunk issue!!

So when i bought my DD it had a black trunk (Body is SSBP). Didn't pay to much for it so i didn't worry about it. Now since i go to open the trunk though it wont open. Key turns the lock to the right and it seems to make a locking noise. When i move the latch over to open the trunk though it does not open or unlatch. anyone have this issue before? And solutions without having to climb in the back and take it apart? I tried the old push down lift p trick and still nothing

Depending on what year it is, which he did not mention .. It could be the newer style.

So climbing into the trunk to pop it is pretty likely.

Sorry about that it is a 98, so no cable. Think i'm going to need to take apart the assembly? No other experiences with this?

Turn key until you hear the power locks unlock, then keep turning the key further and the latch should activate.

The switch on the trunk goes out, and this becomes the work around to avoid replacing it.

I should add, you need to keep the key turned as far as possible while lifting up on the hatch.

I keep forgetting that the Integra came in a sedan as well. No clue on whether this works for them, as I've only had hatchbacks.

I'm thinking Hatch == Trunk in this case.

Hatch it is When i specified SSBP I figured most would trigger DC2. I did the key trick but did not hold it over so it didn't work. I see now though to hold it over. I'll try again today. lol

OIC, I thought when TunerN00b said, "I keep forgetting that the Integra came in a sedan as well. No clue on whether this works for them, as I've only had hatchbacks" and was not corrected, it was a sedan.

Now with that said, I have a complete latch/solenoid out of a 98, that I was going to put into my 94 RS, but it does not fit, so if you need something, I paid $26 at PicknPull for it, yours for that and shipping.94

yeah, hold the key turned and lift the hatch so you'll have to use both hands. My actuator broke a few months after I had bought the car and been using that method to open it up.

Shipped the CDM G2 trim and seat belts, [auto seat belt delete] to a member in the US, and that was a big box.

Know anybody with a Purolator account?

Because it is small, it can also be mailed, [parcel post]. 94

So the key trick didn't work, i can hear the trunk unlock but doesn't open still while holding it over. Something must have been bent somehow when the black hatch was put on. Looks like i'm climbing in the back! lol 6'2 225 is not meant to be in that little space, haha!! I'll pm you regarding the shipping
