do you have the spare tire in?

that trunk "wood" piece isn't meant to support much.

its sagging because the spare tire cover should go all the way to the seats and it looks like yours is like a foot short.

Yeah, the dealer carries them, but they are around $80. its better just to re-cut a new piece of plywood in your case.

If dealers do have those they will probably have to order it for a good price. Just make one yourself. Mine cracked because I had my sub and box on top so I took it out and traced it on a piece of plywood and cut it out. I am now using both and its way stronger. So just borrow it from someone and trace...problem solved.

Get a sheet of 3/8 inch thick MDF (medium density fiberboard) and cut it to fit the floor area in your trunk. It will be durable enough to keep the carpet from sagging.

think about that. if you are planning on having alot of weight concentrated in one spot you may wanna try the idea with the MDF. but beware that **** is ******* heavy.

just make sure you keep your spare tire in there to support the weight.

The oem board is very strong. I've had 3 rims with tires in the back for 2 days and didnt see any cracks or splitting. In a DB

You forget Allmotor that 4 doors are superior to hatchbacks. Even the material used to make the under-carpet support is better in the 4 doors.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by soon2bdropped &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> you think that light cardboard will be able to support a sub box? like a 15" kicker l7 sub box?</TD></TR></TABLE>

If you build your sub-woofer enclosure properly it will support it no problem.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by B18B-SC &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">think about that. if you are planning on having alot of weight concentrated in one spot you may wanna try the idea with the MDF. but beware that **** is ******* heavy. </TD></TR></TABLE>

So is a Kicker L7 15" sub-woofer, with the enclosure, and the amp to run it. What is the harm with an extra 5 pounds of MDF in your floor?
