Default Trim Level?

Hello, prelude owner here lookin' for some info, figured you guys were the ones to come to:
Looking at a 'teg for my brother, only talked to the wife of the owner (not car people) seems to be completely stock, but she doen't know trim level. This is all i know

'95 in the dark Green, power everything, sunroof, tan leather interior, 5-speed, and has the 5-spoke wheels (she said there is no badge below the passenger tailight GSR or Spec.Ed., but its been repainted so that might not make it back on there?!)

is there any way with just this info to know trim level?

Thanks,
K

Ask her to pop the hood and ask her if she sees a big VTEC written anywhere.

If there is no VTEC under the hood, then it is an LS Special Edition. Just like my white one.

Also GSR's have no third brake light in the top of the back window since every GSR has an LED spoiler. 100% sure on G2's since i have one, but i'm not positive about the G3's.

From what i've been told GSs have leather seats and standard wing
and the LSs have no leather and an optional wing
and the GS's from earlier years have GSR sus.

i'm not positive but i had a GS vs LS thread yesterday, and thats what i got back from quite a few people

Also look for the vtec solenoid (to see if it is a GS-R).

If it's a 2 door and the original color is Isle Green Pearl, than it is an SE without a doubt. They didn't make a 2 door GSR in that color in 1995. However, if it's a 4 door, it is probably a GSR, because that color only came on the 4 door LS and GSR, but an LS wouldnt have tan leather or SE/GSR wheels.

geeZus - the reason you have no leather in your GS is because leather was not standard in the GS until 1999, your sig says you have a 98. It was not standard in the 94-98 GSRs either.
