i know a guy with a sleeper..
so what can i say to prove that he has a gsr but he claims its a ls.
anything i can point to and say thats something only gsr's have? (besides poping the hood, the vtec badge, and redline limit.)
he has 95 gsr rims but he claims that he bought them.
my cousin told me that gsr's have some sort of light in the interior that ls,gs, and rs's dontn have. is this true? what is it. does anyone have a pic?
thanks in advance.

for one all integra have wheel disc brakes..hehe even the zc integra...
its really easy..
1. if you race him you can hear the vtec..
2. gauge cluster it will hit 9.
3. not all gsr's have leather.
4. the exhaust tip is a little bigger than the other 95 models.

LS, RS, and Type-R's have the third brake light inside the car. GS and GS-R's have them on the spoiler.
So if he claims its an LS and has no 3rd brake light inside his car, then he's most likely lying.

Pop the hood. If he is so sure it is an LS then he shouldn't have a problem with you looking at the engine. If he says he got a swap then the car is what that swap is. The engine is the heart of the car, and that is going to determine what the car is.
hes probably not telling you because hes scared its gonna get stolen and i dont blame him , that maybe why hes ditched the badge and tells everyone its an ls, why do you care,
leave the poor guy to himself, let him put on a front to protect his stuff, do you think he is that ignorant that he doesnt know if its a GSR.
as far as angle cut muffler tip , that is only on the 98+ GSR which is the same as the ITR,
painted moldings- all integras that are g3 have painted side moldings if they are ls, GS, Gsr
slight color in the intereior you wont be able to tell unless they are side by side.
you could check the tach but if he's swapped clusters you cant tell,
is it Auto or manual, all GSR in the US are manual cannot get in auto.
lastly pop the hood if ut says VTEC, its a GSR

well i dont have a good reason for why it matters. its just that i want to let him know that i know its a gsr. and that he doesnt have to deny it all that time and all of his friends to stop corecting me when i mention its a gsr.
like i said no good reasons.

i know for a fact that he didnt ditch the badge and all that just to protect his car. i know he did do that to race. hes the racer type and he wants people to think its a ls but really its a gsr so he'll win. he challenged my friend to a race telling him its an ls.

so a rotary 510 should actually be called an rx7? or what about the mini cooper with the ls1? should it be called a camaro ss? what about the elise with a b18c5? should it be called an integra type r? theres a whole hell of a lot more to a car than just the engine.

The gsr cloth seats are different than ls cloth. If it's a GSR the seats will have more support. The sides and bottom will fit more snugly.

yes
it's the only real way to tell. Simply plug the VIN into carfax and it'll tell you what kind of car it is right away.

look in the VIN for DC....the number after it reveals the model
DC2 = GSR
DC4 = LS

My vin says dc4, but what lies under the hood is nothing ls. People say all the time "that's one funny looking gsr" or "how much are you spraying?" Your going to need to look under the hood to see what 's really going on. Not to mention that there are many fast ls's out there. I also have 95' gsr rims on my car, but the vin STILL says dc4. Look under the hood if you can.

he could still honestly call it an ls if that were the case. thats what i would be betting on.

94-97 there is no distinguish between ls and gsr seats , leather was a option on the gsr and it also came with SE. 98-01 seats are differnent because they are a lil bit different because they are softer
