Default tranny problem

Sometimes you love em and some times you dont...haha, so here goes;

Tonight I was cruising up hill and I stopped at a light. Light turns green and I am not able to engage into first or any other gear. The cutch is depressed, shifter moves in neutral but no luck shifting into first.

I pull over and turn off the car and to my surprise I can engage into all gears, with the clutch pedal depressed or pressed. So I got an idea of putting the car in 1st and starting the car...the car runs but I cant shift up and the car will disengae but I cant engage into anymore gears.

Has anyone experienced ths problem or has heard of this before...Thanks in advance guys...Any help will be appreciated

J.

Tranny:
-gs-r

yea same problem here. it just happened to me about a week ago. car turned on, its in nuetral, i put the clutch to the floor and no matter how hard i would try to push it into first gear, nothing would happen, it wouldnt even grind. i dont know, my trans is effed up. then i turn car off, put it into first. slides right in. someone said its cuz of a messed up bearing inside the tranny, and also they said my clutch is shot. but i lucked out, im buying my friends GSR tranny for 800 bucks with only 26000 miles on it. and i have a new clutch, and about to get an act flywheel. but your car sounds like the same problem mine had. my stock trans has almost 92000 miles on it.
