Default TPS Sensor?

My teg starts to misfire when I push down the throttle more than half way, but under that it seems to be perfectly fine. Could this be a bad tps sensor and if so would it cause a misfire? Thanks for your input

1. Read the codes on your vehicle using a paper clip & the 2 wire service connector.
(Articles listed on http://www.phearable.net/tech)
2. Diagnose the codes....
