Icon2 torqueing down gsr head pattern....

ok i went and looked up the pattern and saw that there was two ways on how to do it.
1) the spiral pattern.
intake------------------------9-5-1-3-7
exhaust----------------------8-4-2-6-10

2 theres this one.
intake--------------------9-5-1-3-7
exhaust-----------------10-6-2-4-8

which one should i use???
oh yeah and i have eagle head studs going in too.

Number 1, most definitely. #2 will likely result in uneven torque application. DO NOT use #2.

Where exactly did you find that #2 pattern?

Number 1 for sure.

Do it in steps. Start with 20lbs run through all ten of them then jump to 40lbs then 65lbs.
I usually torque my ARP studs to 68lbs.

That's not necessary. I was just wanting to make sure you didn't see it in a repair manual or something.

meh neither of those orders are as good as the first order you posted in your OP. That's really the only TRUE criss-cross tightening sequence that will ensure the most evenly applied torque on the bolts/studs.

Image from the "how to build a reliable LSVTEC/B20VTEC" thread, same as the first sequence you posted in the OP:

The other orders you described sound more like the cam place cover sequence, but those have 14 bolts each.

Great info *saves in "My Notes"

Is this the same way to remove the Head also? or the reverse way? as in

2-6-10-8-4
3-7--9-5-1
