Question about head studs
sup guys,
i am going to want to be boosting my car soon. although i know that head studs are pretty much on the 'must have' category for a boosted car, they dont make a set for my vehicle. i emailed ARP about a custom set (thinking that it may run me around $300) and the guy replied stating that it would cost approximately $800-$1k. i dont really have that kind of money to spend on some head studs.
Is it possible that if i can find the proper bolt specs for my car (thread pitch, bolt height, etc.), i should be able to find another set that have those same exact specs and use those, right? I dont know where to go to find these bolt specs, but i'm just ASSuming that it will work.
thanks in advance.

If using head studs from another vehicle is out of the question, at about what HP/Boost level are OEM headbolts good until?
oh, and for good measure:

We have no information on that engine. A set of custom head studs could be approximately $800 ~ $1000 depending upon material, size and quantity. If you wish to order a set of custom studs please contact our Special Orders Division.</TD></TR></TABLE>
TIA
