Which tools?
Well if its jsut a hobby i think craftsman would be good.. I went with them because i live next to a sears so its only 5 min away. If you wanted to go all out snap on but thats veryyyy pricey. I am also currently collecting tools as i am tired of trying to find the right tools when having them makes the job 1093923929x easier.
you can never go wrong with craftsmen. although i love snapon tools they can get pricey at times so craftsmen is worth the cash. plus lifetime warranty...if you break hand tools bring it back and free exchange
I think the main reason i chose craftsman is because i wanted nice reliable tools but im only 16 so i dont have butt loads of money to spend. They suit me well and if i break them i go get a new one no questions asked.
I would just recommend craftsman tools. i think craftsman tools comes with lifetime warranty too right? but if you're working at a shop or a dealership.. you'd probably wanna go matco or snap on but they cost $$$
Ive always used craftsman tools, always had good luck with them. recently i bought some Kobalt tools from lowes. they also have a lifetime warranty. well i broke that tool a few days later (which was my fault)the exchange process was just as easy as going to sears. lowes is a little quicker to go to for me. i don't have to leave my car unattended at a mall. and i have a lowes with in walking distance.
most tool companies have lifetime warranties. i would just go where ever is more convenient for you.

Go craftsman! Just like all the other guys said, you can break the **** out of any of the craftsman tools and just show up to any sears and they'll give you a replacement one for free. NO hassles, no filling out no forms. Just show up and tell them to shut and bring you a new one, they'll do it.
Go craftsman!
Go craftsman!
took a 14mm socket back yesterday, I broke it using it on an impact gun. Totally my fault and they still took it back. Craftsman
This warrenty does only apply to hand tools and not the power tools.
Try checking out garage sales and swap meets. When I was younger I got a lot of my tools from these. I use to get sockets for 50 cents each. As long as you get snap-on or craftsman you will be fine.

Not flaming, or anything, but look into this section a little
Welding/Fabrication
Tool threads pop up, now, and again, also a sticky at the top for some sites.
