Default Tire Question

Ok so I need to buy tires for my Rotas, but i have no idea what size to buy( i got 15's) to keep my speedo up to par, and I also wanted to know how to read the tire sizes. IE 195/50/14 << I know the 14 is for the size of the wheel? Pictures would be nice

Two common choices for 15s are:
195/55/15
205/50/15

To identify 195/50/14:
195 is the width
50 is the aspect ratio
14 is the diameter

205/50 would be a better choice for handling and looks- wider and lower profile.

You can run anything you can force to mount on the rim. Now, if your speedo will stay accurate, thats another story.

The internet is a good thing. You can use that to calculate potential tire sizes.

don't think running 195/50/15 is good for integra cuz of the weight capacity of that size tires, i believe tirerack recommends 205/50/15 for integras, for civics it might be a different story

I currently have 195/50 ES100's on my stock wheels. I like them because it effectively raises the final drive ratio, giving better acceleration. Right now I have 205/45-16's on the car right now, but this coming season I will be using the stock wheels and 195/50's for autox duty, until those wear out and then hopefully I will be picking up some race tires.

does the smaller tire actually give you a false sense of better acceleration because your speedo might not be reading correctly? altho i've heard a lot of guys running 195/50/15s

It won't just give a false sense, with a smaller tire, you change your total gearing lower. Its effect will be similar to switching to a different final drive. Thats why you want to try and get close to the factory size when you change wheels and tires, go bigger, and lose acceleration, go smaller, gain it, but either way, your speedo will be off.
