Default Removing head unit? HOW???

Ok Guys I have a pioneer deh-1500 in my 97 integra rs. I know theres a sirius satellite radio sitting under the tree for me. I dont have aux inputs so im going to hard wire the FM out of the satellite tuner to the antenna input of my head unit. My question is, How do I take the head unit out?? I bought the car with the head unit so i dont have a manual for it? I googled and all i could find was operating manual not installatiion manual.

well without those small silver piece things that come with the headunit to take out, the onlyway I would see you taking it out is if you pulled the entire headunit out of the console. Basically you install the sleeve. On the sides of the headunit are clips. Once you put the headunit in it will snap in place. Onlyway to take it out and leave the sleeve is if you have that tool thingy. You will see what I'm talking about when you remove the entire unit.

**as a trial user I can post anymore cuz I past my posting limit.**

I doubt a butter knife will work. Just try it my way and take the panels off to get to the headunit. Its alittle more work but its better than spending 20 bucks.

the sleeve might not even be tied down to anything. start by removing the center arm rest, then your shift ****, then your center bottom console (where the shfiter is), then the ashtray [ team-integra.net has a nice walk through for 'stereo installation' which is basically a walk through of taking apart your center console ].

after doing that, you might find that you can slide the stereo out easily... so try it first.
