Default Timing Question

Ok so I did a valve adjustment a week or two ago and I noticed the when I lined up the Cam Gears to TDC #1 the crank pulley TDC mark was about a 1/16 of a inch past the plastic marker. Is this reliable? Will it cause problems with the engine? Should I be worried about it?

Could this cause a low idle? my idle during the day has been pretty low during the day but at night its higher. This makes me think that I should not change the idle itself. I think something else is causing this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oh ya I change the PCV valve already, and today I plan on changing the MTF fluids along with the coolant.
