if timing is slightly off, can it cause a small jumpy idle? because just finished changing a camshaft seal tryed to put it back in timing (did the best i can) and now at idle it has a little stupid jumpy idle when it was perfect before i did the work. thanks
Your idle will be a little jumpy if the battery is disconnected and then hooked back up again, but thats only for like 10 minutes, that may be your problem.
no, thats not my problem because nothing was touched but the work that i did ,which was taking the valve cover off and losing belt tensioner and taking the cam gear off and replacing the seal.
