TIMING ????
Hello, i have a jdm ls motor in my civic and it ran for about the past 4 days since i kicked it over after the swap, it was running kinda weird , no ***** between 1-2k and it had a real low idle. My buddy ran the engine codes for my and the number 1 cylinder position sensor indicator was coming on, and that made us come to the conclusion i eighter needed a new distributer or to re time. We tried the distributer first and the obviously wasn't it. After putting the distributor back in the car didn't start, and now we were really scratching our heads, we tried kicking it again and again but nothing. After 20 min of that we read in the hans manual that taking the distributor out could throw off timing, but not by how much it was off, one of the cams has a 90+ degree differance from the other cam, and i know thats not good, and was wondering if taking out the distributor could throw off the timing that much, or was it off to begin with, and could that be the reason the car wont start, and should it have started in the first place, and is that the reason it had no *****, if anyone can answer this, thank you..
