Default ticket

i just got two tickets last night (friday) one was for failure to signal, the other was for illegal lane change but the cop wrote on the ticket that i crossed 3 lanes but it is only a 2 lane road. do u think that if i brought in a picture(gotta go to court) of the road and the 2 lanes it would do anything. also on the illegal lane change ticket he wrote the wrong license number, and wrong birthday. on the other ticket he wrote the wrong birthdate(different from the other ticket and still wrong) and wrong license plate number. do u think that if i brought up these points i would get out of the tickets

GSRahim
yeah man just complain about the tickets, question his ability i mean he had your licence, there should be no mistakes, at least not like that
or since the licence is wrong and stuff, just deny the ticket
say you never got it, coz if the licence plate is wrong then they can put it on your record
right
peace

I agree, that should be easy to get out of.. There are actually a lot of good books out there for things like this. Hit up a barns and noble and start reading some of them. A couple have a step by step Q and A on what you should say to the judge and what to do if blah blah...

Read this link about the experience that this guy went through in beating the law. I think that it will help you, even though the situations vary somewhat. It's still an interesting read,

go to the auto parts store and buy a new bulb for your turn signal and tell the judge that the bulb was blown and that you replaced it. keep your reciept. also yes take a picture of the road and show it to the judge and your case should be dissmissed.

very good idea...

also let them know that the ticket has a lot of incorrect info... should help even more...

if you're still not sure what to do, call a few lawyers and see if they give any free info over the phone... some of them might just give you some really good tips for free... the other bloodsuckers will ask you to set up an interview to 'discuss your case'...

good luck...

I am a cop, and honestly, there is not really anything that you can do as far as that goes. You can attack his credibility, but that can sometimes back-fire. I would definately plead not guilty to the supposed 3 lane dive. If the road does not even have three lanes, he is obviously citing you for something that coul not have heppened. That one will get dropped. The judge might drop the other since he cited you on the first for something that did not happen.

If he says that he pulled you over for the illegal lane change, and subsiquently gave you the ticket for no flasher, then you are in the clear. This is because the reason that he pulled you over is no longer valid because it is impossible. It cancels out the other ticket.

The judge might actually get pissed at the cop because of his lack of attention to what he was doing. Courts get angry when this kind of thing happens. It makes more work for them. I have seen judges throw tickets right out of court for not being filled out properly. Just make sure to plead not guilty. And if you have witnesses, bring them to your trial.
