Just rebuilt my 90 LS. Torqued everything in right. Or so I thought. So anyway I replaced the main relay, and first time I got it to shoot some fire basically I heard a loud clunk. Turned the motor off. Took off the valve cover, re torqued it all, tricky though getting the timing belt on. I know I'm not doing something right. Because now I turn it to TDC and it's stuck immediately after, both ways. So did I throw a rod or what? Head gasket? No clue but I think if any of you are in Sacramento and want a blown motor you should throw me some money. The head is new I just bought it so I'm hoping it's still good and I can keep it. I've had 80 views and no responses. So I'm going to evaluate the situation and post my thoughts. I'm pretty sure a valve got stuck in there. Don't quote me on this. I'm no mechanic. But I think before I fired her up I think the dizzy was not right. Something about timing that I was struggling with before anyway. So. Hopefully if I take the head off again, and check the valves, hopefully it's not toast. This damn cold ain't my gig and I'm gonna wait til things warm up. If anyone has any suggestions I'm bored as ferk and could use a good word of advice. Thanks. Happy Holidays and remember, tip your waiter.

you'll see a chunk of connecting rod sticking out of the block if you "threw it", take the head off an inspect.... very simple OR more likely you're trying to fight the compression of the engine.
