for those of you that have crashed a dc2...
wondering what your opinion of the crash worthiness of your car is/was... i can't help but feel the car is very, very tinny.
and i've noticed how soft the sheetmetal is compared to other cars.
i'll do my best not to stack it, but what happens when i get t-boned by some idiot who runs a red light??
for some reason i just don't feel terribly safe in the car

Most people live in a t-bone in a teg... That ive seen... Others have died. My gatherings tho have been that the integra is a safe car. I feel comfortable in it.
luck that my car was lowered driving to work in dc in july i was in traffic on 270 and slid into a truck. my airbags deployed and the car was forced under the truck......all two weeks after i bought it. i hit at about 50 mph. a whole new front end and windshield, airbags and 8 grand later i still have the car. no engine damage except the AC core and the electric fan. i feel very safe in my car...then and now.

I crashed my dc4 twice in about 6 weeks. First time I rear-ended a Kia because I was following an SUV to closely, and it swerved to miss the kia... $5,000+ later the front end was fixed and it was absolutely perfect. 3 weeks later I got run off the road and snapped a palm tree. Dented my roof, f'd up the new front end, airbags went off, etc etc. Totaled it that time.
Either way, I lived both times. No injury either time. Safe so far.
I haven't crashed my DC2 yet, and it's been 3 years...

they suck *** in accidents. acura uses the shittiest sheetmetal on these cars. they dent very easily.
i got hit 3 times in my other teg and just got soo sick to my stomach i sold it .

yeah i agree acura makes some shitty sheetmetal, but tahts how these cars are light, i was driving 680 freeway towards my friend house. I was slashing lanes stupid me lost control and did 360 in traffic and tap the rail in the front and my whole left quarter panel ate the rail u can see an imprint of it. 3 passenger no one hurt Air Bags didn't deploy hehehe, i disconnected them along time ago. just kidding they were disable due to some reason never had the chance to get it getted out. Thank God no neck injury. the car was totaled too much rear end damage and shifted the frame. At least my motor was ok.

see thats another thing why they use thinner sheetmeatal though too , impacts cause less damage to the occuapants, but more to the car if that makes any sense.
I have a gallery on my website of wrecked integras (down atm), in part because I was curious about this too.
After seeing the accidents, the car is pretty safe.
Your biggest chance of death is from rolling it while driving like a fool.
