thinking a tps prob
alright so anyways i've had a bouncing idle problem for days and a half right now i have my iacv taken off because it was throwing a code for it anyways and it makes a real quick surge like 3 time a sec anyways i also have a problem with a jerky throttle my tps can't be adjusted i'll just get a new tb with a good tps just wondering if anyone else had a problem with a jerky throttle its when i first get on it out off no throttle and when i let off also when its warm it won't hold a constant rpm

well your TPS is adjustable. you have to cut notches in the rivets with a hacksaw. VOILA you have a flathead screw. Loosen, adjust....enjoy.
anyway, it's probably not your TPS. Test your TPS before you adjust. Voltage at closed should be close to 0 and voltage at WOT should be around 4.5ish.
It's probably your thermo valve. It's underneath the throttle body. I found out a few years ago that you can open it up and fix the idle.
Take off the TB (easier way). There will be a thing that looks like a tumor underneath the TB. IT'S NOT A TOOMAAA, though. It's a thermo valve. Take off coolant lines, etc. Make sure you're doing this when the car is cold.
Take apart the thermo valve via the screws that hold on the plate. There will be a plastic cap in there with a slot on it. Using a gasket scraper or large, thin screw driver, retighten the cap. Put it all back together, and your idle should be gravy.
It may be a bit low. Adjusting your ide:
Turn car on. Unplug IAC. car should idle very low. adjust idle screw till idle is between 500-600 RPM or so. Replug the IAC back in. Turn off the car. Turn on the car. Your idle is adjusted.

its a 94 and the screw has been tightened in the fitv why would the fitv cause the throttle to be jumpy unless its a rough switch from open to closed loop. the jumpy throttle is the main problem by the way i know the iacv or eacv is fucked any time i hook it up it raps the idle like its cool and i'm throwing a cel

buy a new gauge cluster or swap the speedo from another gauge cluster. this jumpy needle thing happens to older cars.
