Testing a Thermostat Switch

I am not sure if there is a way, but does anyone know a way to test a thermostat switch without it being connected?

In the Helms is shows how to test it, but that is connected. Just curious if there is a way to or not

with an ohmeter, at a certain temp the switch is a certain resistance.
