I bought a 98 Integra LS a few months ago and I've noticed that I have not noticed the electric fans come on at all since I got the car. I used to have a Spec V and the fans in that came on all the time. I'm just wondering if I have a problem or not. The fans do work because I've tested them. The temperature guage is about 1/3 of the full range, or about 11-12 O'Clock. Could my thermostat be gone or something? Or do these cars have to be really hot before the fans come on?

WEll if ur not over heating then ur fine.. my hardly come on either...

 

the oem temp gauge needle should be closer to the middle. Not touching the middle but 4 to 5 lines before it. Your thermo might be letting water by and keeping the engine cooler.
Does your temp go up and down noticebly when in stop and go traffic? If so you need to switch out thermostats. Temp should stay constant according to the STOCK gauge. Peace

 

The needle stays constant, but is just a little lower than I would have thought it should be. Maybe I should just swap in a new one and see what happens...
