Default Temperature Gauge

My temp gauge sits a little higher than my friends jdm swapped gsr engine. Sometimes it actually goes lower than its usual spot, especially after I floor it. Anything to be concerned about?
Thanks

It could be a lot of things. I wouldn't base your gauge being in the correct place off of another car's gauge. The stock gauges are basically "idiot guides" and serve no real purpose until it's too late.
1.) Does the needle go above the half way mark? If it does, then yes you have an issue.
2.) Is the needle approximately 3/4 of the way up to the half way mark? If so, then you should be fine.
3.) Does the needle move up to the half way mark and then settle back down? If so, you have an issue.
4.) Let the car sit over night (like several hours at least) and then pull the cap off. Is the fluid up the top? If so it's unlikely you have you problem. If not then you might have an issue.

It seems like the needle fluxuates from right in front of the half way mark and a tiny bit lower, usually right in front of it.(assuming half way is where the temp icon thing goes up). I just checked the fluid tho and it is fine.
Thanks for your replies
