A/T Transmission on a 91 teg LS
What color is it suppose to be on the dip stick ?? it shows clear on the dip stick but my dad says its suppouse to be red ??

auto trans fluid is red. i've never heard of clear tranny fluid.
i'd say that even though it's red, it looks clear on the dipstick a little bit because you're just seeing a very thin, wet layer of fluid. If you're 100% sure it's not red, see who put fluid in it last, and drain/put some in.
it's worth your $5 or $10 and 10 minutes of time to change the fluid anyway.

yep, and you may need ot be changing it soon anyway. it wipe it off with a paper towel or something and make sure it just doesnt look clear beacuse of the super thin layer.

ok jsuted checked again ... i can now see a little red... is it suppose to be dark red or what ?? i think i might want to chnage it jsut to be on the safe side... anyone kno how to do this ?? lol im new to the car era and dont kno much !! lol
