The engine light on my LS came on. Got a friend of mine scan it with his obd scan. Turn out it's the transmission problem with 2 codes P700 and P740. Does anyone know what the codes mean and does it cost alot to get it fix, or i have to get another transmission?

I'm not good at dealing with transmission, although i found the definition for both codes. Since i have problem in lock-up control system which is code P0740, is that the reason why i don't have good shift? Does it cost too much to get it fix or i best buy another transmission? And how much does it cost to buy another transmission?

 

auto==>manual swap sounds like a good idea. but if yuou dont want to do that. people are selling auto integra trannys for 300 bucks(maybe less). so that may be another option.

 

Naw i don't want any conversion, i just want to get it fix and run good. Beside i think it's a waste of money getting it convert when i could get an acutual manual. No offense to those who have their conversion, it just my own opinion. Anyway, i think i'm gonna get another tranny, thanks for the info y'all.
