Switched tires...now my car raised a little
Ok boys heres the situation:
On saturday I switched my gsr fat fives w/khumo tires for the gsr blades with some factory fat michilen tires. My cars lowered and after I switched them, the height of the car raised a little. Now is it going to stay that way? Or is it just going to settle in? Thanks

tires are either skinner or fatter so it appears to be higher I seriously doubt you changing out 15s for 15s makes your car any lower or higher, its all about how wide those tires are are

well, the stock michelin ones are also 195/55r15, so if you are running that size your car shouldn't be any lower or higher, unless you have too much air or something. I think it's more likely that it just looks high because it hasn't settled back down after being on a lift or a jack, wait a day and see how it does. Now, if your new tires are 205/55 or something, then that's why you're higher.

Yah the tire sizes are the same. Maybe they have too much air, cause this guy put air in all the tires after we put em on. The reason why I say that its higher is b/c I dont scrape or bottom out anymore. I'm not saying that I liked it, I just love being low.

ok girl.
if the rims and the tire sizes are identical, it must be your imagination. lay off the smack.
If your car is lowered and the springs arent loaded, (as most folks dont do) then they should settle lower to a normalized height after you jump in the car and drive over a few bumps.

there is the possibility that the michelins have more tread on them. remember, as tires get more miles and wear on them, the height of the tread goes down. its only noticeable up close.
also, michelins have a "sqaured-off" corner for better wet traction and wear. tires such as the kumhos are usually rounded at the corners for better contact when the tire is in a turn. this is why michelins kinda suck in high speed cornering, the shoulder of the tire isn't making as much contact as the kumho might be.
