future refrence question. i want to drop my 4 door gsr roughly 1 inch all around. what would be my best bet/your opinions? coil overs or should i go for a set of springs?
If you just want a slight drop and want to maintain some level of comfort an easy solution would be the eibach pro kit, stock shocks perform well with them (their life will be shortened). Coilovers are overated unless your are spending some serious money on them and you know how to set them up, otherwise they ruin the characteristics of the car. If you want to try something different you could get a used set of ITR shocks springs and LCA's it gives you an approximate 3/4" drop and excellent ride and handling characteristics, Don't forget the alignment kit, oftern overlooked and underated aligments are key when it comes to the driving experience~
Go with the Tein Coil Over System. There should be some on eBay for around $650. They come with everything you need. Don't mess with cheap stuff because they bring you more expensive problems.
i would go with the eibach pro kit and down the line upgrade the shocks. if you dont want a big drop like the pro kit (1.5") put some itr springs on your car, its about a .5" drop on the front and about the same in the back and no need for new shocks.
