Suspension Setup for DC4
Sorry about the post title... changed it when i realized that this was the wrong forum!!
So super smart me decided to remove the car alarm installed by the previous owner of my car. The reason being is that the alarm horn was in the way of my new HID ballasts. So after a quick *snip snip* the wires were out and the car won't start...
1 hour later....
Figured out that it needs the door open... doesn't matter driver's side or passenger, just as long as it's open to start up. When the door is shut, the car just makes an electric humming sound, from the ignition im assuming.
The car alarm system was 'Rattler' i believe.
If anyone has any kind of help it would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have access to a HELMS? How about the wiring diagram for the manufactuer of that alarm?
I would get both of those and cross reference. If it is still fresh in your mind, try and go back to where you cut what wire from what and write it down.

Actually.. no i dont have access to any of the wiring diagrams..
The previous owner had it installed but didnt give the manual or anything to me when i purchased the car..
You think if i take it down to a local install shop they would know where to go with what is left if i tell them what i have done?

Think of it as a kill switch, what thief is going to think to open the door to start the car? I think its a good idea, keep it that way
that is what i am thinking too
my only concern is that it might somehow (i dunno how) be hurting something in the wiring dept. Is there any kind of concern that i should have?
