92 Integra not starting
I just swapped out the b18a1 that the previous owner had hydro locked for another b18a1 and i cant get it to start. We are getting fuel, and we are getting spark to the spark plugs. The engine will crank and crank but it just wont start and i cant seem to figure out why. Any suggestions?

Re: 92 Integra not starting
now this will probably sound stupid but with the cylinder one at tdc and the cams lined up, take the dist cap off and see where the rotor is pointing. for some reason on a h23 swap i did the dizzy was 180 degrees out.

This may sound like a stupind question but is the main relay clicking on? I know you said you were getting fuel but r you sure!!!! If so i would check and make sure your grounds r correct and double check all of your connections.

Yes the maian relay is clicking on, and i checked the dizzy, it is on one, firing order is 1-3-4-2 clockwise with one being in the bottom left of the distributor and cylinder one is closest to the cam gears correct?

Ignition switch maybe??
Sure your fuel filters good too.. You can obviously hear the pump prime, but hows the filter???
Possibly need new spark plugs...
I hate having issues like this lol. Good luck.

correct.ok heres a pic of the cam and crank timing i know you said its all lined up just need to be 100% sure that the crank and cams are lined where its at in this pic...how did you check for fuel? did you pull the line going to the fuel rail? and have you tried a different ecu, and finally have you performed a compression test?

Re: 92 Integra not starting
I pulled the fuel rail and checked to see if the injectors were spraying and they each primed then sprayed in order with the firing order, that picture does look slightly different than my gears so ill double check that tomorrow, i havent compression tested yet cause i cant even get it running and i know its not at all accurate on a cold engine, but that is next on my list of todo things

Re: 92 Integra not starting
make sure all 3 of your major grounds are tight....its a small thing but a big headache but check ur ecu fuse that located in the engine bay... in the manual it has prossible trouble shooting for cranking but not starting issues

Re: 92 Integra not starting
The three major grounds are one on the tranny, one going to my thermostat housing and another going from the valve cover to the radiator right

Teggy - I have the exact same problem with my 92 LS. When you figure out what it is, let me know. I'm afraid I'll have to break down and take it to the dealership!
