Default Stupid Question/Statement..

I dunno about you guys, but my gas gauge is weird, I swear.. Sometimes It feels like im getting 14 MPG, and sometimes I feel like im driving a hybrid, and I always drive pretty much consistant.. And when I fill up and figure my gas milage, Im always thrilled to see im pulling down around 25 city... but do you guys know how accurate the gauges are? Sometimes im at 140 miles at half tank, sometimes im closer to 200, yet I always get around 25 MPG.. is this normal, or not?

All depends on how you drive your car each time. Stop and go traffic and highway driving makes a huge difference.

Every few tanks of gas I will get one that seems like a huge change in MPG. I'm sure I must just be driving it differently though.

Doesn't really matter I guess if you get the same mileage in the end.

i agree integra gas gauges seem to act retarted, u fill up and it takes 10mins to show u have a full tank. and u drive 75 miles and the guage dont change then u go to get in ur car then next day and u got a 1/4 tank

dont depend on the gas gauge. its not very accurate but it shows approximately how much you have left. It can alter if youre going up or downhill. If the gas light comes on regardless of where youre at, than go pump.

same here, but the reason I fill up before the 1/2 mark is because if I hit mad vtak y0 my gas gauge needle almost hits E

lol

I've driven >50 miles with the light on on flat freeway, and filled up 12.5 gallons or something (supposedly a 13.1 gallon tank). I had a gas can in my trunk in case I ran out, I just wanted to know when it ran out and then gave up. If I refill right when my gas light starts coming on on flat ground, it's usually right around 11.0.
