Just wanted you guys to remember that old quote....goes something like "Never argue with a fool..." and I'm sure you know the rest. Some arguments are just not worth the trouble. And yes I agree, Spoon bars are a great value and are actually functional compared to their [I hate the word, but must say it....biting lip..] ricey counterparts.

Very true. I actually just wanted to argue the price part, since he obviously saved so much money.. and didn't want to tell him what I paid for my spoon bars until he told me what he paid for his dc sports bars..

i dont like newbies that come onto a webboard and act like they know everything when in fact they are absolutely wrong...if they say something that is wrong but dont have a big head or get too defensive or anything, thats understandable...but some people just take it too far and get owned by other members...i see it happen daily on webboards.

The neuspeed bars are quite nice. I would have gotten them but I just picked up the spoon bars from David in person instead..

if you like the spoon "look", then get the skunk2 bars...i have the front upper strut bar, and my bud has the spoon one, aside from the name on the two of them, i think they're pretty friggin' much the same!!!! (just that the skunk2 bar is CHEAPER of course)

the Skunk2 bars are about the same price too, a bit cheaper than both DC and Spoon...but only by like $5-10 ....both spoon and skunk2 bars are great though, along with mugen, stock ITR bars and ive heard cusco and gab make good ones too.....neuspeed are also good, especially for the price.

After pushing/pulling on my friend's DC bar, I'd rather buy some Tenzos to put on.

Spoons are nice (I have the rear bar) but I will have to give the nod to Mugen/OMP/Benen with their one piece bars. But I don't want to cut into my interior panels, so....

Neuspeed bars are great for the price. Unlike DC, they actually work. i prefer them over Skunk because they attach to the control arms instead of the strut. Skunk makes great bars too tho.

Of course mugen and spoon are good too, but pricey!!

i still cant believe someone recommended DC bars. how are thay supposed to stablize the car if you can bend them over your knee?!!!

Thanks for the spoon logo. I'll copy that and put it on my stock GSR strut bar. Spoon rules

i have the Neuspeed front & rear strut bars + rear lower tie bar. very rigid, black w/ yellow lettering is very nice (matches my car too). noticeable difference without them. the lower tie bar was a bitch to get on though, the rear lower control arms wouldn't stay in their god damn places!

I personally like the Rigid and Carbing strut bars, but since they are in Japan I'm stuck with my fairly cheap, but nice and tight setup. I take turns hard and have experienced no bending whatsoever. I just used a stock GS-R brace combined with one of those Tenzo style solid aluminum bars.

Rigid:

Carbing:

My setup:

The comptech tie bar is very stiff and well designed:

nah, I dont know everything that's why I'm criticizing. yupz, I know I'm a newbie but where do you see my post as getting too offensive?! since you are so sensitive about my previous posts, I apologize so you can quit crying. Anyhow, I paid $112.00 for the rear DC Sports rear lower tie bar. Okay, now I know that you can get some Spoon pats for less, thank you so much! nice Oil Cap btw, how many hp did it add up? (I'm asking cuz I'm a newbie)

Uhmm.. are we talking about tie bars or strut tower bars? I'm confused or something.

What oil cap? The Spoon cap picture that I posted? Oh, the RADIATOR cap? I haven't dynoed with it yet so I can't tell ya. lol. It's actually a higher pressure cap that was installed with a new thermo on a car that sees 1hr sessions of road racing in florida. The car def runs cooler now (coolant wise, still need to work on oil temp) so the radiator cap was a worthwhile investment for me. I do have a stock oil cap, sorry to disappoint you there.

DC is just to look pretty and aren't rigid at all. Probably about as rigid as my rear OEM sway bar.
Not unless it's this DC Sports "Carbon Fibre" strut tower bar. The bar is made of whole solid carbon fibre, not just the covering. It weights as much as a piece of paper yet it is stronger than steel. With the metal brackets, it still weights very little. Too bad DC Sports stops making them. I would like to get a matching one for the rear. As with the price, I got it same as the regular aluminum one.

have any of you guys heard of jic? Ive seen one of their carbon fiber strut bars they are incredible. Too bad theyre only available in japan. Anyway, id just thought id share. I personally like cusco strut bars. My friend put them on his civic hb and there was a huge difference in handling. He had front and rear strut bars.
