Default Strange throttle issue.

I've had this problem for a while now, but havent posted about it b/c i dont know the best way to describe it, so bare with me...

I put a skunk2 Throttle body on my car not too long ago, and ever since i've had two issues.

1.)The throttle sticks randomly at the initial opening of the throttle, i have to push the pedal really hard to get it to open at first.

2.)This is the main thing that annoys the hell out of me.. I dont think its a vacumn issue b/c it doesnt do it at idle, but sometimes, not all the time, when im crusing at about 3k rpm, with the pedal just barely down, the car will bog down and back up. The cause of this is the rpm dropping then going back up to 3k rpm. Whenever it does this if i take it out of gear and just hold the rpms up to 3k they will drop to 1500 and back up to 3k over and over..

What could cause this? Has anyone else ever had this problem? Please help, unless you've had this issue you can't understand how frustrating it is to try and cruise the a parking lot and having your rpms dropping and shooting up making your car boune all over the place and making people think you cant drive..

1) Is there a set screw to control where the closed position is located? (If the Skunk2 TB is like the stock TB, there is a set screw that contacts the rotor.) It sounds like the throttle is closed too tightly and is therefore sticking.
2) Perhaps your car is trying to idle, but the slight extra air is causing the computer to oscillate the IACV. Fixing the closed throttle position may resolve this as well.

i've had the same problem with my stock throttle body. I took it out to clean it and for a couple of weeks, it would stick all the time. now it's better, doesn't stick as hard as it use to.

Did you have the issue with it going up and down? or just the sticking?

Is this the screw i assume?

I would make sure your throttle valve is not sticking, and also make sure your throttle cable is not sticking due to severe bends. If those are ok check the throttle position sensor.

Where exactly is the throttle valve?

And as far as the TPS, if it were messed up at all wouldnt it completely throw off the idle to begin with? bc it idles fine.

I adjusted that set screw, and it seems to run fine now, but the idle is fairly high, its at about 1100.
I'm afraid if adjust it back down, it'll give me problems again, whats a good idle?
It used to be like 800~900, is 1100 too high?

That result is not unexpected. You need to adjust the idle now. If you have a manual follow the proceedure there. If not, here is the rough break down:
1) Warm the engine and leave it running
2) turn off all lights and accessories
3) Disconnect the IACV connector (CEL will come on)
4) Adjust the idle set screw on the throttle body until the idle is 480 +-50 RPM. This is not the same set screw that adjusted the closed throttle position.
5) Turn off engine
6) Reconnect IACV connector
7) Restart the engine
8) Check the idle. It should be 750+-50 RPM
9) Clear the CELs (pull ECU fuse under hood for 10 seconds or use a scanner)

You can also seach google for "hondahookup manuals" to find a manual.

Perhaps the TPS sensor isn't set correctly. This could fool the ECU into thinking the throttle is closed when it is partially open.
