what? i'm having trouble understanding the second sentence. does the horn work? if the horn and cruise don't work, and the srs light is on, there's a 99% chance it's the clockspring. the clockspring is the thing behind the steering wheel.

this makes me feel dumb. you re-read what you wrote and all of a sudden *bam*. yeah, horn/cruise/SRS, all of the above does not work. I'm usually not one to mess with steering wheels, so im curious if theres a writeup to replacing this clock spring you speak of.
oh and im still flying the honda noob flag, so please use be gentle if this sounds even dumber than what i said earlier.
Thanks!

i haven't done a search, but it's pretty simple to replace if you've done any kind of mechanical work.
disconnected the battery and let it sit for 15 minutes. next, pop off the little cover on the bottom of the steering wheel and disconnect the airbag (yellow plug). next, on both sides of the steering wheel there are little covers that pop out, underneath them there is 1 torx screw on each side. take the screws out and the airbag comes out. unplug the cruise control and horn from the clockspring. next there's the big nut that holds the steering wheel, i think it was a 19 mm. once you get the wheel off, i think the clock spring is held in by 3 or 4 phillips screws. i bet there's a how-to on here somewhere since this is a pretty common problem, i just don't feel like searching for it.
