i have a play in the ball joint of a steering rack end on the pass side, is the any way i can replace that piece without replacing the entire steering rack?

 

Isin't that the inner tie rod? If so, yes you can replace it without doing the entire rack.

that's not really a tie rod, it's the piece where the tie rod is attached.

i already figured out the answer to my question so thanks. it is replaceable and it is about $50 at the dealer. i just hope there is nothing else bad besides that piece
