Default steering boots

i plan on replacing my steering rack boots and restore my power steering

it is even worth replacing? or should i just replqce the entire rack. there is little play in the steering wheel. its not horrible though. also ive seen on youtube where guys just pop the tie rod loose from the wheel and grease the boot and slip it over the tie rod without taking the tie rod off. so you wont need to get an alignment.. any advice on this and proper procedure on replacing the boots?

Would love to see a video of someone getting a del sol steering rack boot over a tie rod end.

I just did mine. But I did it while I had my outer tire rods removed. Actually I did inners and outers. The outboard opening of the boot is not big enough to go over the outer end of the tie rod.

But If you count the turns required to remove them, you can remove the outers and replace teh boots. Then install using the same number of turns and your back where you need to be.
