Starting problem
My friend has a 91 Integra Ls. He was on his way to class this morning and he lost engine power. He pulled over and tried to start it again but all it makes is a pop pop sound from the exhaust. I went to check it out thinking maybe it was a sensor or ground that came undone. Everything seems to look fine. Has anyone had a similar problem to this. I'm not a Honda guy so I don't know a bunch about them. I checked the ECU to see if it was throwing any codes. All it did was upon starting it would give a red dot then it wouldn't light up after that.
Possibly. Did you check for spark? If you dont have a spark checker then pull a plug out and hold it close to the engine block and have some one turn the car over, you should see/hear a spark. Check all the cylinders and plugs to make sure it's not a problem on that end before you go cutting the cat out.
Alright I'll check that when the car arrives at my house. He went ahead and just had it towed here. That kinda got me thinking it's raining pretty good right now. Maybe it's the distributor cap?

The cam gears have markings on them, when TDC there are up arrows and both of them along with white lines that line up in the middle. At the crank there is a marking on the lower cover and crank pulley that should line up as well.
Edit - To move the crank to TCD there is an access hole on the driver side inner fender. Turn counter clockwise.
