Starter replacement
try taking it to starter rebuild shop. It may just need new brushes like mine did. It is definitely a do it yourself job. Just don't forget to disconnect the battery.

It is really easy, if you know where it is you can replace it.
Its held on by only two bolts, a ground, and one electrical connector. It took me about 20min to do it for the first time.

you can get them from 50-70 @ http://www.car-part.com , install is really easy
There are three brands of Honda starters. If you have a Nippondenso (I am pretty sure this is the one) then you can just replace the starter contacts inside. It is a $10 fix. Most Honda dealers will have the contacts in stock. It is also only a ten minute job once you get the starter out. I have been working on Hondas/Acuras for quite a while, and I have never had to replace a starter motor, only replace the contacts. It seems like the only ones that have problems are the ones that you can get contacts for.
just go to checker and buy one. my brothers 86 honda accord was clicking, and then starting after a few tries. i took the starter off, and it looked like it could use replacing. bought a new/refurbished one for $110. took about an hour to get the old one out and the new one in
where are you people buying them from? i go to autozone and **** and they wat 156 and up. and im trying to get out of this for under a hunderd. the cheaper i can do this and do it right the better. Being a broke college student i do have limitations on cash.
I gave a quick little theory as to what causes starting problems in this post. Just a little something I picked up from class. It's the last post in the thread. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=426323
Hope it answers your clicking question.. Good Luck..
