hey i have a 96 rs. when starting the car the key turns and a few seconds later the car starts. then one morning it wouldnt start at all. but when i got back that afternoon it started. so is it a started problem or not?
well thats honestly not enough information.
i had a similar problem and it was just some loose wiring from when i had an alarm installed. if it doesnt start than try and tap the starter with a hammer. if it starts afterwards than its most likely your problem.

you should take your alternator in for a load test but check the wiring to it first. if the alternator connection is loose it will still run the car but it won't feed enough juice back to the battery to crank it the next time. if you have a digital multi meter then check your battery voltage while the car is running and turn the lights on and see if the alternator is charging the battery properly
so
1) check your battery and alternator connections
2)if that doesn't fix it take your alternator and bat to a auto parts store for a load test if you have the time and a friend to give you a ride.
3)and if that doesn't fix it the brushes in your starter probably aren't getting good contact and you need a new starter
MY MONEY IS ON YOUR CONNECTIONS TO THE BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, OR STARTER CHECK THOSE FIRST
