Default SS Header Question

I bought a Greddy stainless steel header. And the question i have is, i heard that there is some product that you apply to the SS headers before you turn the car on the 1st time the header is on so it burns correctly, and the oil's from the finger prints don't show up. Is this true and if it is what is the product? i hear acid tone or something??

thanks for your help

it should be fine don't worry about it. If it does, however, start to show the marks, jus wipe it off. Good thing you got stainless steel....no chipping like the ceromic
