Default Squeeling noise?

Hi there, problem is, when im at a stop light, and it turns green, i take off in first and as i do, i hear a screech coming from under the car, it also happens if i roll to a sign in second and take off. so happens only in low rpm's. Anyone guess what the problem could be? thanks alot.
p.s. i have a stage 3 act clutch, could this have to do with anything? thanks.

Dang I have the exact same prob on my 98 teg with 84K- all stock. It began at about 40K miles and has not gotten worse, so I have left it. It is definately connected to the tranny, as it occurs while I let the clutch out.

I think it is a throuout bearing or something like that...

Throw out bearing? Does the noise stop when you tap the clutch?? How about in the morning??

THis is so wierd! This exact same thing just started happening tonight to me and now I see this thread. I also have a ACT Stage 3 clutch and it happens only when I start in first gear and let off the clutch. Bump for an answer!

Before it's a clutch issue, I'm going to take a stab in the dark that it's either your:

Power steering belt is loose
Alternator belt is loose
A/C belt is loose

Check to see if your belts look glazed on the tooth side or if there is an cracking. The belts should not have much deflection in them. If you have a Helms, that should tell you what the +/- tollerences are.

I kinda thought it was the alternator belt, but wasnt sure. makes the noise anytime during the day, when i release the clutch slowly and start to accelerate, the squeeling comes on, Im gonna check the belt tomorow and see whats up. thanks guys!

I think it is more tranny related than a belt- and here is why:

THis only happens a few times when the car is cold. It only has ever occured starting out in 1st or shifting to 2nd. On the last 1/2 of letting out the clutch, there is a sharp, fast, high pitched squeel. THe slower I let out the clutch,m the longer the squeel.

Could it really be belt related, as I am slowing down the engine RPM and the belts are "moving"?
