squeel at 2500 RPMs
i just got a 98 DC. when im cruising in all gears but 4th, i get a squeel around 2500rpms. It sounds like brakes rubbing, but i dont think it is due to the rpms. it also comes on with the heater sometimes. Anyone else have this problem?

If it's rpm sensitive and it makes the noise regarless of load, clutch position, etc. it's most likely an exhaust rattle. I've got a squeal that sounds just like a bad release bearing, at 2500 rpm or so. It's an exhaust rattle of some kind, I think, but I've got no idea where...

i no my muffler rattles on start up and when it idles it shakes real bad. i was gonna take it in and have the exhaust re done so maybe it will just go away
