squeaky shocks?
ive got Tein HA's on my '94 gsr, and i think it's coming from them, but there's a really bad squeaking noise, sorta like a bed during sex
(only sound that comes to mind when trying to describe it) anyway, does anyone know what it could be? im about to just spray wd40 all over the car, engine bay, and everywhere i possibly can cuz its really getting annoying

nah its clearly coming from somewhere on the outside of the car but near the engine bay... it may be like somewhere under the dash near the firewall or somethin, idk
I dont know about Teins enough to know their assembly, but when I dropped mine, my camber kit (front) had new bushings and I didn't grease some metal plate well enough on the bushing. I greased it and squeak went away.

2nd gen owner... i had some squeaking coming from the suspension also the way i fixed it was lifted the car on a jack or lift and lowerd it and as it lowerd it squeaked and i found that i needed new tierod ends and bushings on my control arms... but yeah just try whati did i figured out the probelm immediatly after i did this.
I often gat a squeak from the 2 camber kit bolts under the hood by where the shocks bolt in.. I think there a 18 mm bolts, and they loosen just a little bit and I get a squeak when the car bounces over a bump.
My roomate had some squeaking in his 93 hb and it was the same bolts too..
Hope this helps

My squeeking from the front end was caused by the rubber insert that is in between the spring and the top cup, replaced them and COVERED them in grease... no more squeeeeeeks.
I have the flex and they squeak like ****!
But the problem just started one day when i went to the drag strip in carlsbad...it had this really long dirt road...i think thats what did it but not sure tho

yep lots of times the tophats will squeak....chances are thats what it is, if theres no leaks from the shocks, just put some grease btw the rubber tophat bushing and the spring, should do the trick

not the "tophat" itself, the rubber bushing that is inside it, that the spring touches, they squeak sometimes, why would you have a tophat with no rubber bushing??
