Squeaking Hatch???

Default Squeaking Hatch???

Ive heard that a lot of tegs have this problem!! I tried to search ways to fix it, but nothing came up!! so, does anybody else have this problem and how did you fix it??

I had the latched replaced in my old 96 LS HB under warranty and it went away.

I'm also having this problem on my 92 GSR. As soon as I put on my koni yellows and H&R springs the hatch started to squeak.

mine was squeaking too but i was finally able to get rid of it. When you pop the hatch there are two rubber things one on either side that you can twist in or out. It basically aligns the hatch. If you twist it out the hatch will be a little higher. I did that and the squeak magically went away.

If that doesnt help, try wrapping some electrical tape around the latch. Should cure the squeakage.
