Spring squeak
Hey guys, I have a set of lowering spring that i got a few years back, i cant even remember the name of them. But ever since the day i put them in the have squeaked. I tried to lube them, grease them, finally i took some wire loom and feed it around the dead coils and that stopped the squeak. But it is kind of a bad way of doing it. Any ideas on how i can stop the squeak, without the loom in there??
Try spraying some silicone in the bushings, one by one. It won't fix it for long, but it'll tell you which one (or more) is making the noise. Then you can replace it or maybe grease it or something?

Yea... well my problem is just I'm too lazy to go buy a bushing kit and put it all in. Actually, I would have no idea where to start/what to do, but I'm sure I'll get around to it when I can't stand the sound anymore.

the reason that some cars start squeaking after you lower them, regardless of how old they are is because the bushings or ball joints over time have worn to the other height. now you changed the position static height of the suspension and now a part of the bushing or ball joint that never got used before is being worn. hence the noise. you can try to lube but part replacement is the best route in the end.
90 percent of the time it will. or you could just track down which bushing is creaking and just replace it. but more than likely the others will eventually make noise. either way its a lot of work.
I figured out what was squeaking! I was adjusting my suspension today and as I was messing around with the spring and coilover, I noticed an old rubber bushing that I'd never seen before. I guess it fell out of place, but it goes between the spring and the top. I have a picture but the batteries in the camera died so I will have to upload it another time, but I'll bet this is the main culprit for everyone.
