Default spoon flywheel; surface replaceable?

can you replace the surface of the spoon flywheel? or when it gets too far out of spec, do you have to get a new one?

I think the Spoon flywheel is chromoly steel. Typically, only aluminum flywheels have replacable steel friction surface inserts. For chromoly flywheels, it may simply have to be resurfaced at a machine shop, much like a stock steel flywheel. I'm not for certain, though, so hopefully somebody that knows for sure will chime in, too.
